Can’t Buy Legitimacy
I used to do lead generation for a bunch of for-proft schools – the kind you hear about from the Dataline specials. A couple months after I left the company for school, we found out that the University of Phoenix bought the naming rights for the Arizona Cardinal’s new stadium. Then a couple months later, I noticed that they are running some nice ads on national TV. Just today, I found this on Postsecret:
It seems to be the trend for this semester – brands have to live up to the promises they make in their advertising or else people will call you out. And the more they try to cover it up, the worse it gets. If the University of Phoenix found a way to cure cancer, people would still dog them for being a crappy institution.
